La Atunara

La Atunara is the old fishing quarter on La Linea's southeast side, right next to the port. This is where you find the most authentic local atmosphere in town. The seafood restaurants here are some of the best in the region, and the area has real character that newer developments cannot match. It is rougher around the edges than Centro or Poniente, but gentrification is happening fast as renovated properties hit the market. A 7-minute walk gets you to the border.
